Ms. Berman serves as a Managing Director and Practice Lead for Healthcare in the Capital Markets Group of Jones Lang LaSalle. She serves the firm’s investor and provider clients by developing and executing financial strategies and requirements for their capital and occupancy requirements related to real estate, assisting them in the evaluation and execution of deal structures to meet their economic, investment and financial objectives. Ms. Berman has 30 years of corporate finance experience structuring and arranging financing for the fixed assets of major corporations to meet their economic, financial, operational, tax and financial reporting objectives. Ms. Berman has advised and arranged over $5 billion of healthcare industry real property for providers, investors and developers involving investment sales, developer build-to-suits and project and structured financing of acute care facilities, medical office buildings, senior housing and skilled nursing facilities and other health care-related properties. Her experience with healthcare providers includes medical equipment financing and unsecured private placements. She has relationships with a multitude of capital sources including institutional investors, commercial banks, finance companies and private equity investors for taxable and tax-exempt financing.
