Scott Selig became Associate Vice President of Capital Assets and Real Estate at Duke University in 2001. Scott’s professional career includes over 30 years of experience in many facets of the commercial real estate industry including brokerage, property management and development. Scott is charged with developing and implementing the overall real estate strategy for Duke University and the Duke University Health System, the asset management of the Washington Duke Inn, and the acquisition and disposition of Duke Forest land. The portfolio contains more than 250 leases encompassing approximately 3.0 Million square feet of office, medical clinic, laboratory, and warehouse space. The Duke Forest is comprised of approximately 7,000 acres in the Research Triangle area. His role also took him to China on a regular basis to implement facility management and operations management plans for the new university campus in Kunshan, China. Scott graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Washington in 1984, with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration. He earned his MBA from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University in 1992.
