Life Science real estate transaction volume picked up at the end of 2023, according to newly released data from www.revistalab.com. A total of $3.2 billion (B) worth of life science real estate was traded in the quarter. This marks the highest quarter for transaction activity since 3Q22 when $3.4B traded hands. Trailing twelve month (TTM) volume also picked up in the 4th quarter of 2023. TTM volume was $6.4B in the quarter which was up from $4.8B in 3Q23 but still down from 4Q22’s observation of $13.3B. We will see if this portends a trend of increasing transaction volume in 2024 but nonetheless, an uptick in transaction volume is a welcome sight for many stakeholders in the sector.
